WorkSpan's Next Chapter: AI-Powered Partnerships and Series D Funding

By Mayank Bawa, CEO and Co-Founder, WorkSpan

For the past decade, WorkSpan has been on a mission to help businesses achieve more together. We've always believed that trust, collaboration, and partnerships create a world of abundance. This belief has guided us as we've built technology that powers some of the world's most successful ecosystem partnerships.

Today, I'm excited to share two significant milestones in our journey: the launch of WorkSpan AI and our Series D funding round, which includes welcoming Dr. Ekta Dang to our board.

The Partnership Paradox

When we speak to revenue leaders, everyone is trying to figure out how their sellers can engage with and work with partners more effectively. In today's interdependent world, the majority of revenue is either directly sourced by partners or indirectly influenced by them.

Yet we've identified what we call the "partnership paradox": Your sellers need partnerships to grow revenue, but they don't want to add partners to their deals for fear of complexity.

As Steve Lucas, Chairman and CEO at Boomi, so aptly put it: "We have thousands of partners at Boomi, and we really can't be successful at the rate and pace that we're innovating without them. Orchestrating their comprehension, especially when the knowledge of what's going on is held in the hands of a few people — that is incredibly challenging."

The math problem quickly becomes overwhelming. For many companies, there are thousands of sellers and hundreds of potential partner solutions. The sheer challenge of training that many people on that many solutions is almost impossible. And even if you do train them, their ability to remember those details 6, 12, or 18 months later is virtually zero.

Introducing WorkSpan AI: AI Teammates for Every Seller

That's why we've launched WorkSpan AI, a revolutionary breakthrough that reimagines how sales partnerships should be.

WorkSpan AI provides sales partnering AI teammates to every seller in their CRM, for every account and every opportunity. Each AI agent represents the best version of a specific partnership, available to the seller 24/7, providing instantaneous answers and insights on that partnership for that specific account and opportunity.

Instead of aiming a firehose of partnering information at your sales teams once or four times a year, hoping something will stick, you can now train your Sales Partnering AI Teammates to know everything about your partnerships and their potential. Your sellers can then rely on their AI Teammate to understand the full context of each sales opportunity and get concise, actionable playbooks specific to winning that deal with the right partners.

Each agent also takes actions on behalf of the seller, cutting down on time to engage and align the partner on their sales plan. This fundamentally solves the cognitive problem between your sales strategy and how partnering execution helps that sales strategy.

Accelerating Our Vision with Series D Funding

To support our ambitious vision, I'm thrilled to announce that we've secured a Series D round of funding. This new capital will fuel our continued product innovation, market expansion, and talent acquisition as we scale to meet the growing demand for AI-powered partner ecosystem solutions.

AI is reshaping the world, and thanks to our investors, we're taking it to the next level. With this Series D raise, we're building smarter, more responsible AI solutions that drive real impact in Sales and Partnering. The future of AI is here—and we're leading the way.

Welcoming Dr. Ekta Dang to Our Board

I'm equally excited to welcome Dr. Ekta Dang from U First Capital as a Board Observer at WorkSpan. Her deep expertise in GenAI and support will be invaluable as we continue to scale and leverage AI for driving revenue growth with partners.

Dr. Dang brings nearly two decades of Silicon Valley experience as a successful corporate executive, speaker, and writer. Her background in both venture capital and operations, along with her strong ties to the startup ecosystem through her mentorship work at institutions like Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Google Launchpad, makes her an ideal addition to our board.

Looking Ahead

As Amit Sinha, our Chief Customer Officer, often says: "Sales has figured out how to leverage marketing, but sales still hasn't figured out how to leverage partnerships." We've spent the last decade building technology that powers ecosystem relationships for global enterprises. Now, we're applying that expertise to create AI Teammates that make every seller effective at leveraging partnerships in their daily workflow.

The combination of our deep partnership domain knowledge, our revolutionary AI technology, and our strengthened leadership and financial position puts WorkSpan at the forefront of this transformation.

We invite you to experience this transformation with us. Join us at our industry showcase at the Ecosystem Business Summit on April 23rd, or at one of our upcoming events at PartnerTechX (April 28), Ultimate Partner (May 1), and Catalyst (May 12).

AI changes everything. Be part of this transformation. Let's achieve the full potential of your partnerships—together.
